About Cupid
Every team needs a wild card, a force of nature who dives into fun feathers-first and thinks about the consequences later. At Notawallop Creek Station, that unstoppable, feathered force is Cupid.
As one half of the station's most mischievous emu duo, Cupid is driven by pure, boundless curiosity. If something is shiny, splashy, or looks like it might be fun to peck at, you can bet Cupid will be the first on the scene to investigate. He brings the chaos to his brother Cunning's clever plans, and while his antics often end in a muddy mess, his playful heart and accidental heroism have proven that sometimes, a little bit of chaos is exactly what an adventure needs.
Role on the Team: The Agent of Chaos
Cupid, along with his brother Cunning, is an official "Agent of Chaos." While Cunning is the planner, Cupid is the action!
- The Distraction: Cupid's fearless and playful nature makes him the perfect, unpredictable distraction. His tendency to charge into a situation without a second thought has, surprisingly, saved the day more than once by confusing the real villains.
- The Instigator: If there's a hose to be turned on or a piece of equipment to be "inspected," Cupid is the one who will boldly start the trouble, leaving everyone else to deal with the hilarious fallout.
- Cunning's Wingman: Cupid is rarely seen without his brother. He is the loyal and enthusiastic follower of Cunning's mischievous schemes, always ready to add an extra layer of mayhem to the plan.
Cupid's Most Memorable Moments
- Taking on the Poachers: During the desperate rescue of Dozy, Cupid and Cunning burst onto the scene at the perfect moment. Cupid bravely circled one of the fallen poachers, pecking at his boots and flapping his wings, providing the crucial distraction that allowed his friends to escape.
- The Treasure Hunter Tussle: When the menacing treasure hunter, Silas, cornered the children in the hidden cave, Cupid didn't hesitate. He charged in and immediately tried to snatch the shovel right out of the surprised man's hand!
- The Great Hose Havoc: In a classic moment of emu mayhem, Cupid and Cunning's investigation of a water hose resulted in a wild, snake-like spray that soaked the entire farmyard—and them!
- Stealing the Sergeant's Hat: In a final, audacious act of mischief after Dozy's rescue, Cupid darted forward and plucked Sergeant Miller's hat clean off his head through the open window of his police car, parading it around the yard like a trophy.
